WEDGWOOD:Tea caddy in the very rare crimson jasper dip. This example is particularly fine, and shows none of the usual problems that resulted in Wedgwood abandoning this colour after a short period: No loss of relief, no cracks, and no bleeding.

WEDGWOOD: Barrel shaped jug, in crimson jasper dip. There were many problems with crimson and its production was abandoned after a short period. This example is free of the problems normally found with crimson.

WEDGWOOD: Dancing Hours Bowl. Terracotta Jasper, decorated with the Dancing Hours in black Jasper. Terracotta is one of the rarer colours, one step rarer than Olive; with black ornament, it recalls the rosso antico with black basalt decoration made by Wedgwood in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Signed AW for Albert Williams, one of the best decorators working in the mid 20th century. 10 inches in diameter.
